Recreational Trip to Vogalonga
Carolyn & Andy joined a then very small and basic Lincoln Rowing Centre around 8 years ago. They decided they wanted to take part in the 41st Vogalonga in 2015. They organised the hiring of a boat in Venice and were joined by friends from Ancholme Rowing Club, Gill, Peter and Andrew. It was a fabulous and surreal experience, starting in St. Marks Basin and rowing around the islands, a course of around 30km together with around 1800 other boats with a total of over 6500 participants. Magical.
Up at the Lincolnshire Show..
We like helping where we can and this week saw us up at The Lincolnshire Show helping out at the Lincolnshire Coop stand.
Well done to all who took part in the rowing challenge but special congratulations go to Paul Holmes and Elizabeth Gray (14!!) who won 3 months family membership to Burton Waters rowing a massive 335 and 284 metres in a minute. If you ever get bored of Canoeing Lizzy we are down at Stamp End 😉
